United States Capitol Building

The United States Capitol Building set was announced at the Nuremberg Toy Fair along with LEGO Architecture Buckingham Palace. The set's base is 56 studs wide and 14 studs deep, with the bulk of the model about 6 bricks tall, and the tallest portion is around 17 bricks tall. The final model only reaches 6 inches high including that tall dome and the building is 17 inches long. At the same time, builders should be impressed with the detail and realism that the designers were able to put into the build. One of the interesting elements to this build is the fact that there is also an interior. The tiled floor, columns and eight different statues provide a glimpse into the grandeur and inner workings of the building. This can be viewed by simply lifting off the dome structure.

It was retired in November 2019 with a lifespan of 38 months.
